Excessive Calcium Intake

Excessive calcium intake can also be harmful. The Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) for adults is 2,500 mg per day for adults ages 19–50 and 2,000 mg per day for adults ages 51 and older. These upper limits apply to total calcium intake from food, beverages, and supplements.
